Excellent homemade burger, nice old diner atmosphere!

Good Food at a Great Price. We love this Diner.

People are friendly and food is awesome

Quaint little local shop. Love the classic, homey decorations. Food is great price and great taste. I'd recommend the double burger though as the single is quite small (but it's like $3, so it's perfect if that's all you want). There's one small table with about 3 chairs outside, and inside seats maybe 20.

Friendly, reasonably priced food is good. Service is good.

Such a nice diner, everyone was so nice and hospitable. Food was delicious and prices were just right. Will be back soon for sure.

The little Township of Chester is so fortunate to have this family serving is for many years. The food is great...love their Chili Dogs, good portions and proce is right.

Food is pretty good, place just needs an update desperately. It looks so run down, inside and out.

Hey small out-of-the-way place in heart of Chester. Good food good service always a smile on all the servers there. The food is excellent in the price is reasonable. I highly recommend the big double bacon cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate shake my favorite. Thanks for being there for all these years and I hope to see you more in the future.

Great food. I had the bacon, Swiss, and chicken sandwich and my wife had the BLT. Both were cooked fresh and hot right there. Same with the "small" fries which had enough to be a large anywhere else. Very friendly service and cozy atmosphere.

This is a small grill in seating space but large on great food menu items. Prices are reasonable, we discovered their hot dogs and they are fantastic, ask for the onions to be grilled on your dog..super. Got the fries also Good sizes on fries orders. Burgers really prepared good with all the things you can ask for on them. Glad we found this hidden foodie treasure. Try it out.

Best burgers and dogs in Chester! This place is amazing! If you're looking for that cheeseburger and milkshake type place, then this is it! Mozzarella cheese sticks are yummy! You won't go wrong picking this place!

First and last time eating here. Food was ok. I was put off by the cook not wearing gloves. When we walked in, we did not feel welcomed, at all. The cashier seemed to have an attitude and never spoke nor asked to take our order. We got cones and she also didn't have on gloves. Ice cream was good. Cones tasted stale. We were put off with the overt political views from much of the decor. Agree or disagree, people JUST want to eat. Also, I asked for gravy, which I like on my fries. They didn't have any. What kind of (country) diner doesn't have gravy??

The food is always perfect. Have never had anything that wasn't good and cooked perfectly. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Great place to eat with recommend for anyone that wants to get good amount of food for a little about amount of money. Staff was great no problems. Better than any fast food restaurant in Virginia.

Would give it 6 stars if that was a thing! BEST homestyle breakfast I've had in forever! Reminded me of "grandma" making eggs. Peppery potatoes with onions, great coffee, I've been searching for a great diner style bacon and eggs breakfast and wish I found this place years ago!!

Village grill has delicious food, you can order and pick it up. The staff is friendly and did I mention delicious food? I had the fried chicken sandwich, they are also following covid regulations and it is clean and tidy. A very comfortable dining experience. If you have not, you should try their curly fries, and village burger, yum!

Food was better than Waffle House... But not much.seating is limited on a busy weekend.

This is one of the best hidden gems in Chester. Breakfast is great and the bacon cheeseburger is awesome. Never really had a sit down meal because usually the six or seven tables are occupied however if you want good American take out food go to the village grill!!

Food is good and so are the prices... it's sad when someone else gets served before you because they are a regular. We started eating at the time the "regular" was done. Exceptional service should be given regardless of the type of customer you are. Undecided as to whether will return or not.
